Please read the short biographies of John Lyons and Kieran O'Connell.
John Lyons
John Lyons is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA).
John commenced his career in accountancy in 1990 with John J McCarthy & Co., Ranelagh, Dublin 6 where he initially trained as a Chartered Certified Accountant. After progressing to the position of Audit Senior, John joined McGowan Heuston, Monkstown in a senior position as Audit Manager where he provided a wide range of Auditing and tax compliance and planning services to corporate entities and high net worth individuals.
In 1997, John moved to Industry and to the fast moving construction and property development sector - first as Financial Controller and then as Finance Director of a number of successful medium sized development companies.
In 2004 John, in partnership with Kieran O'Connell FCCA, established Lyons O'Connell to provide accountancy, audit and taxation services to a broad portfolio of owner-managed entities and limited companies. His principal role within the Practice involves auditing, the provision of business consultancy and advice services to industry, tax planning and new client management.
Since late 2005 John has been the Finance Director of Shamrock Rovers Football Club who operate in the Eircom League of Ireland Premier Division.

Kieran O'Connell
Kieran O'Connell founded the firm Lyons O'Connell in 2004 and comes with impressive qualifications and experience. Kieran is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA).
Kieran commenced his career with John J McCarthy & Co., Ranelagh, Dublin 6 in 1987, where he spent 5 years gaining valuable experience in the areas of company audit and taxation, rising rapidly to the position of Audit manager. Most recently he spent 3 years as Audit Manager in the Audit and Business Advisory Services Department of Donegan & Associates a medium sized, South-Dublin based practice where his client portfolio included the construction industry, the legal profession, the clothing, retail and distribution sector.
Kieran currently manages an extensive audit portfolio including the hotel and leisure sector, IT sector, manufacturing industry and the construction industry. He has responsibility for assisting entrepreneurs with statutory compliance and providing day-to-day consultancy services. Kieran also has responsibility for the overall practice management.
